Youghal town is bypassed just of the N25 , with Cork Waterford bus stopping in the town. The train comes as far as Midleton in East Cork so for a days shopping in the City take the train from Midleton to the city ( 25 minute trip) and remove the hassle of finding parking in the City . Youghal has a swimming pool & sports complex at Claycastle, greyhound racing Tuesday & Friday nights, various festivals though out the year. Traditional music at Ceoil na Sí or take a Wednesday evening trip out to Lismore and head for the Booley House in Ballyduff ( July & August only pre-booking necessary). Jameson Whiskey Distillery in Midleton runs daily tours. There are abundant fine restaurants in the East Cork area from Aherns & Tides and the Red Store in the town to Ballymaloe at Shanagarry.
